"Russischen Schutzkorps" = Russian Corps at Balkans

The German service Russian officers of the former 1st army corps of general Vrangel Russian Army, evacuated November 1920 from Crimea to Gallipoli, next to Bulgaria and Serbia

The Russian Corps main rule: "we will fight against the communists, the Red Army, but we will never fight against our allies: US, French and British  Armies..."

Russian Corps: the history

  • November 1920: Russian (White) Army officers evacuation from Crimea to Gallipoli (Allies Armies base)

  • November 1921: Russian Army officers next evacuation to Bulgaria and Serbia.

  • 22-23 June 1941: the 1st proposal (refused by Nazi) of Russian general M.Scorodumoff to German Army officials about the Russian division for the Eastern front.

  • 1922-1940: the emigration period, the Russian Military Cadet Schools and high Schools for the Russian officer children in Serbia. The new generation of the officers of the Russian (White) Army are ready to fight against the Red Army with their fathers.

  • June-august 1941, the communist rebel in Serbia, the massacres. Red partisans kill the Russian officer families.  The order of general Scorodumov about the Russian anti-partisan Group.

  • 12 September 1941: "The Russian Corps order N1" by general Scorodumov (without the permission of German Army officials)

  • 14 September 1941: Nazi provocation: general Scorodumov arrest by Gestapo ( 21 days in the German prison)

  • September 1941: the German Local Officials give the permission for the Russian Corps, but renamed to the Russian Protection Group. The new commander- general B. Scheifon

  • November 1941: the Regiment N 1 was formatted

  • January 1942: the Regiment N2 completed

  • May 1942: the Regiment N3 (the Russian officers came  from Bulgaria) 

  • 30 November 1942: the new name "Russian Protection Corps of  Wehrmacht. The structure reorganization

  • September 1943: the new volunteers for the Russian Corps come from USSR, including soviet POW

  • January- February 1944: the strong battles against the Red partisans of Tito

  • Autumn 1944: the strong battles against the 57th Red Army

  • 30 April 1945: the new Russian Corps commander colonel   Rogogin declares about the capitulation for the British Army only, never for the Reds and Tito

  • 12 May 1945: the Russian Corps capitulation for the British Army (one of the British Officials was the the participant of the Russian Civil War: the communication officer between the Russian and British Armies 1920)

  • 1945-1947: DP camping, the evacuation to US and other countries. (be ready to joint to US Army and to continue the battle against the Red Army during the Cold War period)
